Girls trip to FRANCE!

Soooo… I went to FRANCE.

My beautiful, dreamy, photographer friend invited me to accompany her to France on short notice, like 2 weeks notice! The moment I got the text from her, I called Anders and told him we had to jump at this opportunity. He completely agreed and started to figure out how he could send me to France.

Once we figured out the logistics and I had all my flights, the excitement really began to build. I was FINALLY going to France. A place I have only dreamed about and it happened so quickly I couldn’t really wrap my head around it. Even when I arrived in Paris, it still hadn’t hit me.

Sarah Ellefson (the amazing Photographer friend, go check out her gorgeous work here.) had already spent a week in Paris before I arrived and was ready to show me the sights. The first day she kept me up, to help acclimate me to the time. We wandered through Paris although I was in a complete daze, I knew that this was going to be an amazing trip.

A little over a week in France

  • First day: Flew into Paris

  • Second day: Flew to Nice (Southern France) to stay in a hotel called Les Rosees!

  • Third-Fifth day: Lounged and took photos of the gorgeous hotel and drank a lot of wine!

  • Sixth-Seventh: Took the wrong train but still ended up where we needed to be in Aix-en Provence

  • Eighth Day: took the train back to Paris and explored a full day before heading out early the next day!

It was a world wind trip with tons of traveling, but gosh I tried my hardest to soak every part of it in. I remember sitting in the train, on our way back to Paris, forcing myself to widen my eyes and take mental images of the countryside. I did the same thing when I saw the Eiffel Tower light up in the evening. I inhaled deep and tried to absorb everything that was happening.

So thankful for my time abroad and will never forget the amazing conversations, moments of joy and laughter that came with this trip.

Here is a montage of photos from my trip! Also if you are planning your trip and need any recommendations feel free to ask! I’d love to help you out!
